A unique gel. That’s a bold statement. But true nonetheless. Technically speaking, traditional gels are made up of water and carbohydrates simply mixed in syrups often containing artificial flavors and preservatives. GEL 100 is totally different. It is a biopolymer matrix containing a unique blend of fructose and glucose (0.8:1 ratio) that allows for the absorption of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour.

Maurten GEL 100 was developed using natural hydrogel technology and 6 natural ingredients. It contains no coloring or preservatives, and is sold in 40g packets containing 60% carbohydrates, a high weight/energy ratio.

INSTRUCTIONS The gel should be consumed a few minutes before, during and/or directly after activity.

ENERGY QUANTITY Studies have shown that our bodies can use up to 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour. Researchers have recently shown that a fructose to glucose ratio of 0.8:1 allows for an even greater intake of up to 100 grams per hour. GEL 100 is based on this ratio and contains a large amount of energy. One bag contains 25 grams of carbohydrates.
